Clevis grab hook is a type of lifting or rigging hardware designed for secure attachment and lifting of loads. It combines the features of a clevis and a grab hook. The clevis portion allows for easy attachment to chains, cables, or other lifting devices, while the grab hook part is designed to securely grip the load.
Clevis Grab Hook Zinc plated Grade 43 (also called High Test Clevis Grab Hook) is designed to be used with Grade 43 or Grade 30 Chain. It has a narrow throat allowing it to grab a link of the chain and prevent it from slipping. When using these hooks with grade 30 chain, the hooks must rated to the working load limit of the chain.

Do not exceed the working load limit.
Not to be used for overhead lifting
Make Sure the Hook Size and Chain Diameter are Compatible before Attaching to Load
1. Clevis Design: The U-shaped or D-shaped clevis allows for easy connection to chains, cables, or other similar components.
2. Grab Mechanism: The hook features a mechanism that allows it to securely grip the load, providing stability during lifting operations.
3. Latch or Pin Closure: Many clevis grab hooks come with a latch or pin that can be opened to easily slip onto a chain link or attachment point.
4. Material: Typically made from high-strength alloy steel or other durable materials to ensure it can handle heavy loads.
5. Load Capacity: Marked with a safe working load limit (SWL) indicating the maximum load it can safely lift.
1. Material Handling: Used in various industries for lifting and moving heavy materials and loads.
2. Rigging: Commonly employed in rigging applications where a secure attachment point is needed for lifting operations.
3. Towing and Recovery: Utilized in towing and recovery operations to secure and lift vehicles or other heavy objects.
4. Marine and Offshore: Applied in marine and offshore industries for lifting and rigging tasks.
5. Construction: Used in construction applications for lifting and positioning construction materials.
